June Workshop || RECAP

Updated: Jun 13, 2019

On June 1, 2019, MARKD hosted its second of many workshops to come, laying the foundation of a unique learning experience for beginners and professional photographers alike to expand their knowledge, hone their skill and technique, and assert themselves with confidence.

The workshop centered around street style fashion, and with the help of wardrobe stylist Shareef Mohammed (@yoreef), makeup artist Sarah Carter (@sarahcartermua), and model Chena (@asianmaryjane). Mark Enriquez gave participants an exclusive look into photographic production from start to finish including makeup and styling, creative direction, posing, and technical execution.

“Having a solid team takes the project to next level, and that will set you apart from others. Teamwork makes the dream work” - Mark Enriquez

Not only did the attendees walk away with new techniques for posing and framing, but they learned the importance of building rapport with a team and effectively communicating their respective visions.

"Communication is key on any set," says Sarah. "In some cases, the photographer is the creative lead, meaning he or she needs to effectively communicate the vision and make sure the team preserves it. The workshops are a great way to learn firsthand how to do that." As the MARKD team continues to grow, we look forward to refining the workshops to provide a learning experience unlike any other. Big thanks to Andy Vo (@callmevo), Traye (@mm.illimeters) and the instructor himself Mark Enriquez (@1llest) for the behind-the-scenes coverage.
