MARKD held it's third street style photography workshop on July 7, 2019 at Union Market in Washington, D.C. with host Mark Enriquez (@1llest), wardrobe stylist Shareef Mohammed (@yoreef), makeup artist Sarah Carter (@sarahcartermakeup), and models Destinee Foster (@fetishh) and Balmoris Cruz (@balmoriscruz1).
Called the culinary epicenter and cultural melting pot of the city, Union Market District was the perfect urban backdrop for the Miami Vice theme. Not only did attendees learn the importance of location scouting, but the use of two models gave attendees a fresh perspective and new techniques for lighting, posing, and composition.
"We had two models in a shot, something I've never done before. [Mark] walked me through how he directed them and set up the shot and lighting. It was so simple, but when I saw it in camera, I was shocked," photographer Ben Amare said.
"I learned so much about [Mark's] process of creation and inspiration and it felt achievable and accessible."
